How to add pictures to your Powerpoint presentation

How to add pictures to your Powerpoint presentation

Here's how to import a picture:

Insert Picture

Open your Powerpoint document. Under the Insert tab, select Picture, then choose the appropriate file:

• Use the .PNG file included with your download if you need a transparent background.
• Use the .JPG files if you prefer a white background.
• .EPS files are transparent and can be colorized within Powerpoint. EPS files can also be customized within vector editing software such as Adobe Illustrator.

Crop a picture in Powerpoint:

Crop Picture

Once your picture is placed, double-click on it to resize, recolor or crop it.

Under Picture Tools, on the Format tab, in the Size group, click Crop.

Drag the cropping handles on the image to crop it. Holding CTRL will allow you to crop equally on two (center cropping handle) or four sides (corner cropping handle). Press ESC.

To crop the picture to exact dimensions, right-click the picture, and then on the shortcut menu, click Format Picture. On the Crop pane, under Picture position, enter the numbers that you want in the Width and Height boxes.
